Michael L. Brown, 71, beloved husband of Carole, nee Singer, for 47 wonderful years; loving father of Steven Brown, Julie (Sinisa) Sasic and father-in-law of Alexandra; cherished grandpa of Ryan Brown; devoted son of the late Evelyn Cordell and Abraham Brown; dear brother of Alan (Marilyn) Cordell and Joanne (Meyer) Saltzberg; treasured brother-in-law, uncle, cousin and friend of many. Chapel service Monday 12:15 PM at Shalom Memorial Funeral Home, 1700 W. Rand Road, Arlington Heights, Interment Shalom Memorial Park. Mike and I worked together at the IRS for over 20 years. He was a funny guy. We had lots of fun and of course did a lot of good work. Mike was always the first person who offered to help anyone. He always stood up for what was good or right and never backed down when he saw someone doing something wrong. I am glad that Mike was my friend; he made me a better person. I think he touched a lot of lives while working for the IRS. I know he loved his family as he talked about them all the time through thick and thin. He was a great guy. I will always remember him.
